Bread by Bike

Just off Maadi's Road 9 and along the green stretch of Al Kanal Street sits a characterful sculpture for those unfailingly impressed by Cairo's bread delivery guys on bikes that stack racks of bread above their head, zipping through Cairo's congested streets.

The sculpture can be found in the Ahmed el-Gendy Memorial Garden, but outside of the the inscription of the artist's name and date of production, Amr Ramsey, 2011, I was able to find out no other additional information or history behind this sculpture. If anyone knows anything more about this great hidden-away sculpture, please comment or get in touch directly!
